Control tower
The control tower integrates an industrial PLC and touchscreen HMI for full control of the single-use mixing process. It manages signal acquisition, actuator control, alarms, trends and profiles, and includes Ethernet connectivity with an OPC server for straightforward integration with plant SCADA or higher-level systems.
Tank SU platform, square or cylindrical (50–500 L)
The TANK SU platform is a mobile tank frame available in square or cylindrical configuration, matching the corresponding single-use bag format. It supports working volumes of 50, 100, 200 and 500 L and includes a bottom drain design, interlocked access door, wheels for mobility and integrated load cells. Optional single or double jacket configurations are available depending on temperature control requirements.
eBag 3D consumables, square or cylindrical
The system uses compatible eBAG 3D single-use bags available in square or cylindrical geometry, aligned with the selected TANK SU platform. Bags are offered in Open, Storage and Mixer configurations, with port layouts adapted to each application. The mixing impeller is integrated into the consumable and couples magnetically, avoiding any intrusive mechanical penetration.
Non-invasive magnetic agitation
Mixing is achieved through non-invasive magnetic agitation, with typical speed setpoints in the range of 120 to 300 rpm depending on configuration. The agitator coupling is controlled from the HMI, and the system includes safety interlocks that prevent agitation below the minimum working volume.
Weight-based volume control
Each tank is equipped with four integrated load cells and a weight indicator, enabling accurate weight-based control. Tare functions support media and buffer preparation as well as controlled additions, with dosing managed by mass or derived volume to improve repeatability and traceability.
Integrated peristaltic pumps
The ePlus Mixer includes integrated peristaltic pumps assigned to acid, base and media additions. The pumps support manual operation, automatic control loops and profile-based operation, and include purge and calibration functions to ensure reliable and reproducible dosing.
Temperature control and SU sensors
When required, the system can be configured with temperature control via a jacket circuit for heating or cooling. Optional single-use pH and conductivity sensors are supported, using Arc technology with Modbus RTU communication, allowing closed-loop control and data acquisition within the same control environment.
Data management and integration
The base system provides data logging, trends, alarms and multi-step profiles, with optional eSCADA packages enabling recipes, user management and extended reporting. Data retention is configuration-dependent and typically up to one year, and Ethernet communication with an integrated OPC server allows seamless integration into existing digital infrastructures.
